The National Informatics Centre (NIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, is a premier technology advisor and implementer for e-governance initiatives in India. NIC’s VIDYAKOSH project aimed to develop a comprehensive platform for online education delivery.
Challenge
NIC faced challenges in providing a unified platform for delivering various types of educational content, including online courses, webinars, and self-paced courses. The existing systems were fragmented, leading to inefficiencies and a poor user experience.

It enabled the delivery of more than 448 online courses, including courses on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, ELK Stack for Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Geographic Information System (GIS), Mobile App Development, Network Technologies, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, API Management, Agile Development & DevOps, and Software Quality. The LMS aimed to streamline content delivery, enhance user engagement, and improve the overall learning experience.
