The Central Reference Library, Kolkata recognized the need to enhance its online presence and improve information dissemination to the public. With the goal of modernizing its communication strategies, the department embarked on a website design and development project to create a user-friendly, informative, and accessible website.

The main objective of the project was to revamp the ministry’s website to provide citizens, stakeholders, and other government agencies with easy access to information, services, and resources related to the primary objective of this institution which is to compile and publish the Indian National Bibliography, an authoritative record of books published in 14 different languages of India.
